What is LabMaster-AW / NOVASINA ?
We utilize high-precision water activity analysis instruments that are regularly calibrated to ensure reliable and accurate results. These instruments work by measuring the vapor pressure of water in the sample and comparing it to the vapor pressure of pure water to determine the water activity (aw) value.
How It Works
The water activity meter creates an equilibrium between the sample's internal moisture and the humidity in the surrounding air. One stabilized, the device records the relative humidity, which indicates the sample's water activity-ranging from 0 (completely dry) to 1 (pure water). Most microbes cannot grow belower specific water activity thresholds.
